With the Red Bull Kumite tournament to take place in April, qualifiers have already been taking place all around the world.
As announced by Red Bull, this year's event will feature 8-world class players and 8 challengers to see who can reach the summit.
There are 8 regions to be considered for the underdog spots including Japan, United States, Belgium, South Africa, Mexico, Taiwan, France, and Argentina.
This will mean there will be 7 invited players, and then one last spot that will go to the winner of the last chance qualifier. The LCQ will be an open event that will hold in France and the winner will have a chance to partake in the tournament.
To this end, Beast FGC, an esports team that sponsors Daigo and Fuudo, has put up the Beast Cup which is a 3 v 3 tournament with the winner to earn a ticket to the LCQ in France.
However, there is one twist— since only one person can qualify, the winning team will then need to fight amongst themselves to pick the final winner to get the plane ticket.
