We are about to get our first look at how the crossplay feature for GGST will work out
Crossplay is coming for Guilty Gear -STRIVE- and we now have dates for the beta test where players will be able to have a feel for how the crossplay feature will work for Guilty Gear. According to the Guilty Gear Twitter account, the beta test will take place between Friday, the 14th of October, and Monday, the 17th of October. This comes after the last developer's backyard, where Arc System Works announced that this beta test, originally slated for September, will not take place in mid-October.
Furthermore, their blog post explained that the beta test will cover Playstation 4, 5, and Steam users. Users can download the beta test and give it a shot. The blog also noted that those without the game are also free to join in the beta test as the game file will be released at no additional cost. In a 4-day window, players will be able to try out the crossplay feature and provide vital feedback with which the developers will use to perfect the game.
The beta test Guilty Gear -STIVE- game will include a lot of the normal content, including online mode, survival mode, two-player mode, tutorial, and training mode.
Also of note is that all 21 characters currently available on the game will be usable by those who download the beta file. So, even if you own GGST and don't have all the characters, this is a chance to try them out and decide for or against purchasing them. This is, of course, also a way to draw in new players because even if you do not own the game and download this version, you will have access to enough features to inform your decision to buy the game.
