The player coach is no stranger to these situations
Tachikawa, a fighting game professional with Burning Core in Japan, has been appointed as the play-off coach of Crazy Raccoon for this season's Street Fighter League Japan which will take place soon.
The appointment was announced by both Burning Core and Crazy Raccoon and will last for the duration of the playoffs after which Tachikawa will return to his team.
Tachikawa is an amazing player who has achieved some great results this year including 3rd place at the Esports World Cup, a top-16 finish at Evo 2024, and another at CEO 2024.
He also has a reputation of being an amazing coach having coached some of Japan's strongest talents including Kawano, and he was also responsible for Detonation FocusMe for the second stage of the 2023 season of SFL Japan which also coincided with DFM's upsurge in form which took them all the way to the playoffs.
Crazy Raccoon finished in 2nd place in their league behind REJECT and will hope to fight off all the other teams in the playoffs. Crazy Raccoon certainly has the pedigree to win Street Fighter League as they have some proven winners like Bonchan who won it last season with FAV Gaming and Dogura who was champion with Good 8 Squad two seasons ago.
