Korean fighting game veteran Chanel has officially parted ways with DRX Esports, with the organization confirming his departure in a statement thanking him for his years of service.
Chanel joined DRX in 2022, linking up with Tekken legend Knee as part of an ambitious push that saw the organization assemble one of Korea’s strongest fighting game rosters. Alongside other elite players such as LowHigh and LeShar (for Street Fighter), DRX quickly established itself as a major force within the region.
Chanel currently competes across multiple titles, including Tekken 8, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and The King of Fighters, showcasing his versatility as a top-level competitor.
In their farewell statement, DRX wrote:
“After four years of unwavering dedication under our banner, today we bid farewell to @tekkenchanel as he departs DRX TEKKEN.
For your undying passion and support for DRX, we celebrate your mark on our legacy, and wish you the best of luck in your next chapter.”
Chanel also shared a brief but heartfelt response, expressing gratitude toward the organization and its leadership:
“The time spent with DRX is still deeply cherished in my heart with gratitude.
I pray that the CEO, Vice CEO, Department Head, and others who worked solely for the players may have peace and blessings in their future.”
