Capcom Updates CPT Rules To Include Nintendo Switch 2 Players
They will now be able to take part in the CPT

Capcom has updated the rules for the ongoing Capcom Pro Tour (CPT).

The new update allows players using the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 to participate in online tournaments.

This change means that World Warrior tournaments are now open to players on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The Switch 2 was released last week, and one of its major highlights is the launch of Season 3 of Street Fighter 6, which was made available alongside the console.

Switch players will still be required to follow the standard CPT regulations, including the mandatory use of wired internet connections in order to participate in official tournaments.

On a more sour note, it was also discovered that the prize split would remain the same from last year, which was a bone of contention for many players. Last year, the winner of Capcom Cup won a staggering $1 million while second place took home a much more modest $100,000. This essentially made the Grand Final a $900,000 money match, which made a lot of players uncomfortable.

While a lot was said about it, the situation remains unchanged this year.
