Capcom have announced a unique promotional campaign ahead of the Street Fighter League Japan Grand Final, set to take place on 31 January 2026, with the release of limited-edition “Street Fighter Players Potato Chips.”
As the name suggests, the product is a collaboration that pairs potato chips with collectible player cards, featuring some of the most popular and recognisable Street Fighter 6 competitors in Japan. According to a statement on the official Street Fighter website, the chips will be available primarily within Japan, sold at the event venue itself, Capcom Store locations, and select online retailers.
In total, there are 20 players featured, with 40 card variants available. Each player has both a regular design and a rare design, adding a collectible element that mirrors the popularity of trading cards and gacha-style merchandise within Japanese gaming culture.
The revealed packaging shows that the majority of players come from four teams heavily associated with Street Fighter League Japan:

Of the 20 featured players, only three are non-Japanese: AngryBird, Big Bird, and MenaRD. This selection makes sense given the context of the collaboration. Both AngryBird and Big Bird are signed to REJECT, one of the teams involved in the promotion, while MenaRD has built a remarkably strong relationship with the Japanese fanbase. In fact, the Dominican star has often received louder cheers than local favourites at Japanese events, a testament to his popularity in the region.
