Street Fighter 6 Helps Capcom Reach New Sales Record
Over two years in, the game is still performing incredibly well.

With another fiscal year approaching an end, we get another Capcom financial report. As dry as that might sound, these reports often give us some insight into how well things are going, which has obvious repercussions on what sort of future the game might have.

Most notably, their latest report includes a statement that Capcom has achieved "highest-ever total and catalog 9-month-cumulative unit sales," with 34.6 million copies sold so far, and a plan to reach 54 million by March 31. Among current sales, digital and overseas sales continue to dominate compared to physical copies and Capcom's domestic sales.

The company notes that Resident Evil and Street Fighter 6 sales in particular continue to grow. Even if Street Fighter 6 was partially propped up by the Switch 2 port, adding 1.6 million thus far is still some unbelievably strong performance.

Overall, Street Fighter continues to be one of Capcom's strongest brands, sitting at third place with 58 million units sold, behind Resident Evil's 183 million, and Monster Hunter's 125 million. It is followed by Mega Man and Devil May Cry, which have 44 and 38 million sales respectively.

The rest of the report is fairly dry, but we can also learn that Capcom considers Street Fighter League important for improving Street Fighter 6's brand awareness, and seemingly expects the upcoming live-action movie to aid in this regard as well.
