Ahead of the release of Alex for Street Fighter 6, Capcom have unveiled his walkout animation and pre-game facial expressions, giving fans an even closer look at the returning fan favourite.
Alex is the third DLC character of Season 3 for Street Fighter 6, and following the release of his gameplay trailer, anticipation around the character has been steadily building. The footage showcased a powerful, high-impact brawler with a kit that rewards strong fundamentals and confident decision-making, traits that long-time Alex players have come to expect.
Alongside the character showcase, Capcom also confirmed that Alex’s release will be accompanied by a full balance patch affecting the entire roster. This announcement is particularly significant, as it could represent the first major system-wide balance update the game has seen since its launch in 2023, rather than the more conservative tuning patches fans have grown accustomed to.
In the newly released video, Alex is shown being selected on both the Player 1 and Player 2 sides, with one using Modern controls and the other using Classic controls. Viewers quickly noticed that his “Ease of Use” rating is listed as “Hard,” suggesting that while Alex may look explosive and straightforward on the surface, mastering him at the highest level will require strong execution, matchup knowledge, and reads.
