Capcom Pro Tour 2023 Europe West: The First Dhalsim Makes Capcom Cup

Italian player Andrea 'Garnet' Parlangeli was the winner of the Capcom Pro Tour Europe West putting up a dominant performance to defeat .exe 3-0 to make his way into Capcom Cup. 

The top 8 for Europe West had some very strong players including the representatives for the last Capcom Cup, Takamura from Belgium, and Geeck-O from Italy.

The top 8 was as follows:

• 1. Garnet
• 2. .exe
• 3. GGHalibel
• 4. RASS
• 5. Geeck-O
• 5. K4all3pro
• 7. Takamura
• 7. Ronaldo SUI!

Tournament favourites, Takamura and Geeck-O found themselves knocked out by a player from Netherlands, RASS. He defeated the two Capcom Cup attendees in consecutive 3-2 sets. RASS met his match against GGHalibel who, on the other hand, had defeated his two previous opponents, 3-0 each before also taking it against RASS, 3-1. 

Garnet was most impressive though as he provided us with our first Dhalsim in Capcom Cup for this year and he was unplayable defeating Geeck-O 3-1 before beating .exe's Juri 3-0 twice to saunter into the biggest Street Fighter tournament. 

This means that the likes of Takamura and co will need to do really well (win the tournament) in the regional finals to qualify for Capcom Cup. 

The regional finals for Europe West will take place on the 25th of November 2023.
