New entry of the legendary series is in the works

During the closing stages of Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Final, Capcom announced the next entry in the storied Street Fighter series – Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6 - Teaser Trailer

Earlier last week, many people noticed that Capcom’s website featured some kind of countdown. Speculations instantly arose – the rumors of different announcements arose instantly: Devil May Cry 6, new Resident Evil, even fake code hinting at the Microsoft acquisition. However, many guessed correctly – it was, in fact, the new Street Fighter game.

The previous game in the franchise was a major success, with a slew of different variations offering altered experiences. Hopefully, the next game is just as successful, and we’ll continue to live in the world where Street Fighter is a premier fighting game for the entire community.

More news about Street Fighter 6 will become available this summer.

Along with SF6, Capcom Fighting Collection was announced. It will contain many of the classic Capcom fighting games like Darkstalkers, Night Warriors, Red Earth, Street Fighter II Turbo, and others. They will feature rollback netcode, new online elements, and ladders.
