Capcom Announce Street Fighter 6 Showcase Featuring Lil Wayne

If Capcom has done one thing 100% right, it is the marketing for Street Fighter 6. Capcom's latest fighter is set to release on the 2nd of June 2023, and the marketing around has been nothing but brilliant. 

In their latest announcement to the community, Capcom, through the Street Fighter Twitter account, made it known that there will be some major updates regarding the game. This will come in the form of a 30-minute showcase which will be hosted by none other than rapper, Lil Wayne. 

In an accompanying video, we caught a glimpse of some new footage, including a new costume for Kimberly. We also saw one or two easter eggs, including what many speculate is a cameo from Carlos in Final Fight II

We will have much more information during the showcase, which will take place on the 20th of April 2023 at 3 pm PDT. We hope to get information about the open beta for the game, and God knows what else.  

Capcom also announced that there would be a pre-show that will feature the Completionist and The Sphere Hunter, where they will break down everything we know about Street Fighter 6 so far. 

With all that said, the excitement surrounding the game is palpable, and we can't wait for June 2nd. You can be sure that we'll cover the showcase and will update you on any information disseminated then.
