The Capcom Pro Tour has officially kicked off in earnest. This past weekend saw several World Warrior tournaments take place across the globe.
One of the most notable events was the South America East World Warrior One, the first of five tournaments in the region. It was dominated by two young prodigies who have been making waves in the FGC: Blaz and Craime, both from Chile, who took first and second place, respectively. Blaz, you may recall, was the runner-up at the most recent Capcom Cup, where he lost to Kakeru.
Craime has also been in the spotlight recently thanks to his impressive fifth-place finish at CEO 2025. He also qualified for the Esports World Cup, becoming the youngest player ever to achieve that feat.
Of particular note was Blaz’s character selection. The 15-year-old used Jamie throughout his run, a remarkable choice given that Jamie is widely regarded as a low-tier character.
With a highly viable Jamie now in his arsenal, Blaz has proven he can also utilize other top-tier characters such as Akuma, Terry, Ken, and Ryu. This versatility puts him in a commanding position, as he has now accumulated 50 points on the leaderboard.
