Street Fighter League USA runners-up, Bandits Gaming, have announced their next scrimmage while in Japan. According to team captain MenaRD, they will face Team Ibushigin next as they continue preparations for the first phase of Street Fighter League 2025, which begins on November 13.
The match against Ibushigin will serve as a valuable test of form for Bandits, who have been in Japan scrimming against different teams and players. They recently faced Crazy Raccoon, a match they won.
Bandits are determined to go one better than last season and have strengthened their roster by adding Booce, while also recalling Chris Tartarian, a key member of their successful 2023 squad. These matches against top Japanese sides are crucial preparation, not only for the regular SFL season but also for the Street Fighter League World Championship, where they are certain to meet Japanese opposition. With Capcom Cup qualification on the line for every member of the championship-winning team, the importance of these training matches cannot be overstated.
On the other side, Team Ibushigin are currently competing in SFL Japan, where they sit at the bottom of League F with two wins and four losses. Featuring experienced players such as Torimeshi, 2BASSA, Jonny, and Yanai, Ibushigin are still a formidable opponent and will provide a meaningful challenge for the visiting Bandits.
