Bandai Namco Will Refocus on Game Quality

Bandai Namco released the financial results for the third quarter of the 2023 fiscal year, with 772,035 million yen in sales and 78,282 million yen in profit, a small year-on-year increase and large decrease, respectively. 

Following these results, the company made a decision to shift its focus on the quality of the games it publishes more moving forward. According to TechRaptor, Bandai Namco intends to “promote stricter screening of its games, strategically develop games to obtain an optimal title portfolio and strengthen the overall development management via the collaboration with Bandai Namco Studios.”

This information comes amid the reports that Tekken 8 is performing exceptionally well, surpassing two million copies sold since launch.
