Bandai Namco Is Going After Tweets Now?
Screenshots of mods are taken down viaDMCA.

Not long ago, we reported on Bandai Namco taking down YouTube videos that showcased some of the mods for Tekken 8, now it seems like even Twitter (currently X) is not safe from it.

FGC Daily made a short tweet that showcased some of the mods for Tekken 8, including one that had Nina in Ivy's SoulCalibur outfit, proposing that something like this could've made for more compelling battle pass content.

Shortly after, the screenshots could no longer be seen, thanks to a DMCA strike.

The same has happened to Korean mod developer that we mentioned in the last post. Their YouTube videos were taken down, and now, their tweets were taken down as well, prompting them to longer post them on the platform.

This is completely abhorrent behavior from Bandai Namco, seeing as how mods have been a big part of supporting Tekken 7's longevity. The passionate Tekken community brought back old costumes, they figured out how to import new movesets and created unique characters. They managed to replicate Tekken 8 mechanics in Tekken 7 before the game was even out.

Treating them like this is nothing short of disgusting, and given that the game now has a cash shop and battle pass that are meant to make profit from selling you cosmetics, it's hard to avoid connecting the two together and coming to a conclusion that mistreatment of fans is done solely to make more money from said fans.
