Thanks to a partnership with Global Sense, Arslan Ash will now operate out of Japan while still competing globally.
Arslan Ash has recently announced on X that he's opening a new chapter in his competitive career. The seven-time EVO champion is still seeking new heights, but unfortunately, as a citizen of Pakistan, he was consistently battling against visa issues, which were often a bigger obstacle to winning than the human opponents.
To address this, he has relocated to Japan, which should provide him with easier access to high level competition both globally and within Japan itself. Since visa issues should no longer be a problem, you can expect to see Arslan Ash a lot more often if you follow the Tekken esports.
This move was done thanks to a partnership with Japanese company Global Sense, and specifically its CEO, Takayuki Kudo. The company itself offers an incredibly vague mission statement of "bringing smiles to people all over the world," but seemingly do a lot of general assistance for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Regardless, Kudo himself says that he met Arslan in 2019, and last year they have discussed the current plan of relocating to Japan, which only recently came to fruition.
While Arslan Ash is already among the best of the best players in the world, this could be a mark of the new era, since this opens so many opportunities that we wouldn't have before.
However, as we learned throughout the years, Pakistani Tekken scene is incredibly strong, and no doubt contributed to Arslan's success. It will be interesting to see if the difference in sparring partners will have any noticeable impact on his future performance.
