Akuma Is The Most Used Character In Street Fighter 6

The Street Fighter 6 usage stats for December 2024 were released recently which showed the most used characters over every skill level in the game. 

At the top sat Akuma with over 10% of players using the raging demon over the course of December 2024. This is a spot that Akuma has held from the moment he was added to the game at the end of May 2024. From June, till now, Akuma has been the most used character and also dominated the individual ranks from Platinum to Master only losing his place in diamond rank specifically to Bison in July, and Terry in September and October. 

The major change was with Ryu who is now the second most used character with Ken in 3rd place.  

With Mai Shiranui and Elena joining the game soon, it will be interesting to see if Akuma remains the most used character. While Akuma might be topping the charts in overall usage, Ken is still the most viable character in competition. This comes from data shared by popular Street Fighter 6 stats and data guru, Cat Cammy who put out an infographic that showed a whopping 9 Kens qualified for Capcom Cup as opposed to only 3 Akumas.
