How would you approach the task of solving mysteries? Someone saw a ghost in a mansion, and then precious jewellery disappeared. A person has become a victim of werewolves, and their partner got some good insurance money.
These are just examples of possible cases Mystery, Inc. encounters in the legendary anime series Scooby-Doo. And every team member plays their own role in discovering the truth. For example, Fred often builds clever traps. Daphne may become a kind of lure for the villains. Scooby and Shaggy are just lucky, and that helps them find the best ways to succeed (or have snacks). Velma is the brain of the whole group. She analyzes facts, looks for logic in the flow of events, thinks about the people involved in the process, and then comes up with the best solution. Mystery solved!
The personality of Velma remains relatively unchanged throughout many episodes and movies. Would you like to act like Velma? Sure, this character has fewer fans than the iconic dog and his human friend. And still, Velma is, in a way, the coolest one in the team.
It is great to see Velma on the roster of MultiVersus! Her style and personality might give you the exact tools to carve your pass to glory in this platform fighting game.
Velma is intelligent and restrained. Like many great detectives, she prefers getting enough information before jumping to conclusions. Velma collects facts and then lets her brain find the most logical reason for the event, and solution for the mystery.
On the one hand, you might say that Velma doesn’t look for attention and likes to be in shadow. But on the other hand, she is great at creating an emotional culmination. Velma often keeps her thoughts secret till the very end and then surprises everyone with her exceptional abilities. She is a real star of the team, a true leader.
As a support character, Velma has a pretty unusual moveset, strongly based on her cartoon personality. She can heal allies with her Neutral Special and apply negative effects on opponents. Her Side Special becomes stronger in cooperation with the teammate — and it gives positive effects, Armor and extra Gray Health. Up and Down Specials also apply effects: negative and positive. Understanding all these effects is an essential skill for Velma players.
Even the Normals of this character are pretty unusual: a Bubble projectile that supports the ally or a Calculation projectile that hits enemies and can spawn Evidence, a mechanic to call a pretty helpful Mystery Squad van.
Like other support characters in MultiVersus, Velma requires practice to develop a good understanding of her moves. Also, it’s better for the teammate to know Velma well to get the max out of her cool features.
In the game, Velma wears her orange sweater and a red skirt. Her knee socks and shoes awesomely repeat this colour scheme. Velma fights with her glasses on.
