Luong

Story

Luong is a secret agent with a mysterious past. At one point, she fell in love with a Taekwondo master, Gang-li, who was Kim Kaphwan’s teacher. When the latter’s students become involved in a shady plot, the three team up and enter the King of Fighters tournament to find out more.

Once the matter is resolved, Luong moves back to more secretive work with Hein, who seeks to take down Geese Howard. It was later revealed that she entered the latest KoF tournament to steal Sage’s Eye gem from Dolores, which turned out to be fake…

Personality

Luong is a definitive femme fatale. She’s an extremely confident woman who never lets her true motives be known, and tends to use her charm and manipulation to get what she wants out of others. Although sometimes it seems like she flirts and messes with other fighters for her own amusement.

Playstyle

Luong is a relatively simple character with some immediately obvious strengths. Her long range kicks enable an incredible poking game and add a lot to her neutral. That’s not to say that she lacks anything in close range, as her great buttons can still put pressure on the opponents. 

Her issues start to crop up closer to the higher skill brackets, where good spacing and knowing your options becomes vital. While the depth of her combos is arguably a plus, it does require some grinding and proficiency from the Luong player, as they need to be constantly aware of their options.

Appearance

Luong is a woman with long, braided purple hair, purple eyes, and two birthmarks near her right eye. She wears a pink hairpiece resembling a lotus, a confusing outfit that resembles a short qipao with various revealing cuts and purple string ribbons, brown toeless stockings, and white pads on her hands and feet.
