At a young age, Darli Dagger washed ashore on the Island of Madagascar, where local carpenters and pirates trained her to work and defend herself. Although Darli Dagger has often mistaken for a pirate herself, she's not, but she usually doesn't take offense. However, she does take offense when someone tries to spoil the fruits of her labor. Darli Dagger is a fine shipwright with a big goal of building an unsinkable vessel, and if someone tries to damage her work, they will soon meet with her giant saw blade. She believes in hard work, and everyone under her command who wants to give up may end up with a couple of broken bones. When it comes to fighting, Darli Dagger will never back up if someone dares to cross her path.
Just like Haohmaru and Nakoruru, Darli Dagger has been misplaced into the present time and dimension when they joined forces to find their way back home by participating in the fifteenth tournament but eventually decided to stay.
Darli Dagger's playstyle revolves around damaging combos and insane corner carry. She has extremely damaging pokes, which, combined with some of the best combos in the entire game, may deal 40-60% damage without even spending her super. And certain moves with proper execution will send her opponent into the corner, where she can excel in her combos. Besides, she has some great air buttons to cover a lot of space and connect to potential mixups.
For the downsides, Darli Dagger's frame trap potential is quite poor due to the unsafeness of her specials and limited confirm options with light attacks. She also suffers from pressure since her lights have a good hitbox to punish, and her heavies are simply very slow. And since her confirms require precise timings, a single drop may lead to huge health loss. In a neutral game, Darli Dagger is often at a disadvantage in terms of frames, and even her own jump-ins are unsafe.
