Biography
Story
Ángel was a NESTS agent and a member of the NESTS team (in previous games). Her role was pretty straightforward — as an assassin, Ángel completed orders by killing people. After NESTS was destroyed, this bloody occupation became just a past for the girl.
Her primary mission in NESTS was keeping an eye on K9999 (who has become Krohnen in KOF XV). That guy was an even more dangerous killer with a mission to get rid of K’. At one of the tournaments, Angel and K9999 united to kill Kula, but then, their priorities changed. Now, Angel is on a team with Kula and Krohnen.
She certainly has developed excellent fighting skills during her time in that organization. And she willingly uses them in the KOF XV fights. Ángel is a dangerous opponent who doesn’t miss a chance to prove her power.
She is rather playful, likes to show off in front of the audience — but despite this, Ángel takes fights super seriously. The girl doesn’t let anyone fight against her not at their full potential. And she has no mercy for those who become her victim.
The character has an interesting story of creation. SNK and the Mexican game developer Evoga had a bet on a KOF ‘98 match. Ángel Torres, the director of Evoga won, so his company had a chance to create their own girl character for The King of Fighters. Yep, it was Ángel.
Appearance
Ángel is a beautiful girl. She knows this and likes to show off her body. Her in-game appearance clearly highlights that beauty, and the character’s clothes make a specific accent to some parts people might be interested in.
Personality
On the surface, Ángel is rather playful and lighthearted. It might seem like she doesn’t take anything seriously. Her behavior is all about this playfulness. But when the girl becomes serious about a fight, you can delve a bit deeper into her personality. Ángel reveals herself as sadistic, cold-blooded, and rather violent. That is her heritage from being an assassin in NESTS. But also, it’s just her approach to fights, where Ángel tries to be as efficient as possible.
Playstyle
Unlike her partners from Team Krohnen, Ángel is not an easy fighting character. She is not recommended for beginners, and you might need to invest enough time in practicing her moveset.
Ángel is a rushdown fighter with lots of methods to support her pressure and open up her opponents.
