Despite not being able to control his emotions, K' forged strong bonds with his teammates. The Canadian giant Maxima respectfully calls the hero a partner and is always ready to solve issues requiring social interaction. K Dash eventually begins to be attached to Whip and Kula as to his sisters.
K' hates being compared to Kyo, which makes the two heroes outright antagonists (primarily due to Dash’s desire to prove his superiority), despite the apparent similarities in their mindsets.
K' feels doomed to a life of which he has long been weary, making him one of the most controversial characters in the series.
K Dash often gets blamed by others for his immature nature. A hero is rarely polite, even to his teammates. He is committed to anti-social and nihilistic attitudes, rarely shows interest in participating in martial arts tournaments, but is always ready to prove his superiority to anyone around him.
K' wields a unique fighting technique called Pure Violence, seemingly partly inspired by Bruce Lee's fighting style. His method is based on violent elbows and kicks, which emphasize the short-tempered nature of the character. He is often not very inspired by what is happening and often shows fatigue from what is happening as if he does not want to continue the fight.
Shin'ichi Morioka, who designed this character, originally envisioned K' as a young man in gothic clothing, inspired by Cool from the arcade game Fallen Angel.
In the future, the appearance of the hero has changed: Starting with the version of K' from The King of Fighters XIII, the hero does not part with his sunglasses and wears a stylish medium-length haircut.
