Clive Rosfield

Story

Clive Rosfield enters the Tekken universe as a displaced warrior from a war-torn world. Once the First Shield of Rosaria, dedicated to protecting his brother Joshua, Clive’s life changes drastically after the Night of Flames. Marked by tragedy and vengeance, his journey in Valisthea leads to mastery over multiple Eikons, culminating in Ifrit, the dark counterpart to Phoenix. 

His arrival in the Tekken timeline follows a mysterious Eikonic disturbance, linked to the Mishima Zaibatsu's dimensional experiments. Initially aimless, Clive becomes involved in the Iron Fist Tournament and confronts the corrupt legacies of Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima, which resonate with the tyrannies he resisted back home. Although he seeks no conquest, he feels compelled to eliminate the sources of imbalance in this world, similar to the Mothercrystals in his own.

Personality

Clive is quiet, composed, and serious, speaking only as needed. He embodies someone who has endured a lifetime of battles. His demeanor may seem cold or distant, but he is deeply driven by justice, loyalty, and compassion hidden beneath his stoic exterior. Though haunted by loss and failure, Clive never succumbs to despair. He turns his trauma into strength, always acting as a protector, even when the world opposes him.

Playstyle

Clive Rosfield is a mid-range brawler. His versatile playstyle allows players to switch between melee stances and cooldown-based Eikon abilities from his Final Fantasy XVI kit. He delivers traditional strikes with his Bastard Sword and can chain powerful elemental extensions based on stance. 

Using Eikon Shift, players can use Phoenix, Garuda, Ramuh, and Ifrit. Clive rewards smart cooldown management, stance switching, and calculated aggression. He struggles at very close range but becomes overwhelming once momentum builds.

Appearance

Clive, in his mid-30s, showcases a battle-scarred yet regal look reminiscent of Final Fantasy XVI. His black cloak and leather armor, accented with red Eikonic details, swirl as he moves. The Bastard Sword, sheathed on his back, leaves fiery trails when drawn. Glowing sigils encircle his hands, shifting color with his Eikon stance. In Heat State, he radiates an Eikonic aura with elements of Ifrit's horns and surrounding flames.

He has alternate costumes, including early-game Rosarian armor, a shirtless Limit Break form, and a modern Tekken-inspired outfit with tactical gear and illuminated Eikon circuitry.
