E.Honda

Story

Edmon Honda was enthralled by the great power behind Sumo Wrestlers from a young age. He would grow up learning from masters of the craft and become one himself. In his travels, he would come to meet Ryu, Sakura, and Zangief; all be it under distressful circumstances, as Zangief was in the process of destroying a Shadaloo base, the two would continue to work together a few times after.

Wishing to showcase sumo wrestling power as a martial art, E.Honda's goal was to participate again in the World Warrior tournament while helping unravel the Shadaloo organization's secret operations. Although he would falter in the tournament, he returned to Japan knowing he had helped stop the criminal organization. There he began to manage a bathhouse in his spare time.

Once back home, E.Honda builds a friendship with Hakan, the two faced off during a tournament. They would go on to travel the world, trying out food and looking for new disciples for their martial arts, coming across Laura, Rashid, and Ryu during their travels, and becoming more knowledgeable about the foods and cooking of the world in the process.

Personality

Honor is one of E.Honda's core ideals. He respects and values those around him. He is ambitious and multitalented, giving him a depth of perspectives from his Sumo background to his found love of the culinary arts. Although driven to achieve his final sumo promotion, he still gives himself time to enjoy life, including his bathhouse side business.

Playstyle

As you might have expected, E.Honda means heavily on his sumo roots for its moveset, focusing on hard strikes with an open palm. He can control the ground very well, and has mix-ups, advancing strikes, and multi-hits to help build up pressure against opponents. 

Appearance

Like most Sumo fighters, E.Honda is built like a human tank. Don't mistake his size for a weakness however, he is incredibly strong. In Street Fighter 6, he is seen wearing a black yukata with yellow and teal stripes, the traditional rolls of sarashi fabric shorts, and a pair of zori sandals.
