The most notable FGC events from the first week of March

Spring has started, and DashFight gathered some notable FGC news from the first week of March down below. So grab a snack and enjoy your feed.

Triple K.O. podcast

Maximilian Dood, Justin Wong, and Matt McMuscles announced in their Twitter accounts that they're starting a new podcast called Triple K.O. It will come out weekly on the brand new YouTube channel, with first episode dropping out on March 8. Be sure to tune in since these guys together will defenitely produce something worth our attention.

Capcom and new requirements for TOs

Last Monday, Capcom released a controversial statement regarding the new Community Licence Agreement for potential tournament organizers. It featured a new set of requirements for TOs from two major regions, The Americas and EMEA, with a bunch of new rules regarding prize pools, sponsorships, esports license, and user-generated content.

The announcement was followed by a lot of negative feedback, even a boycott from several tournament organizers, which forced Capcom to release another statement, trying to explain their vision. Anyway, it will probably take some time to see how everything plays out.

Romanova advancing

Romanova, a well-known FGC personality and caster for Dragon Ball FighterZ and other disciplines, became a Social Marketing & Community Manager for Competitive Titles at Bandai Namco US last week. On behalf of the whole DashFight team, congratulations for such outstanding professional growth!

Another big tournament from the last weekend was ARCREVO EMEA Finals 2021 - an epic conclusion to the whole season of Guilty Gear -STRIVE- tournaments. Abdulatif "Latif" Alhmili had won the whole thing, not dropping a single set along the way. Jeremy "Skyll" Bernard and Jose "Uriel Legion" Carlos took 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Don't forget to check the whole Top 8 bracket down below.

Moose Wars, The Forgotten Forest

Another Brawlhalla community tournament took place on the edge of the week. Moose Wars, The Forgotten Forest featured 2v2 and 1v1 tournaments, with a total prize pool of $4000. Snowy and Boomie dominated through 2v2 brackets, and later on faced each other in the grand finals of the 1v1 bracket, where Snowy was victorious.
