TNS Mortal Kombat 1 #8: He’s Back

Tampa Never Sleeps organizes quite a few regular tournaments, for different fighting games. The Mortal Kombat 1 series started right after the game release, and we at DashFight follow this competition with great interest — you know, MK1 has a hype period at the moment, and everything around it is filled with excitement.

It’s time to take a look at the matches of TNS Mortal Kombat 1 #8.

TheMightyUnjust has quite impressive successes in the online environment, dominating such series as IKFK. These results somewhat dropped after the most recent game patch — like at Week 6 of IKFK (even if the player remains the standings leader). But now, it feels that the pro competitors have properly adapted to all the changes, and TheMightyUnjust is back with his best performance.

At TNS Mortal Kombat 1 #8, he had pretty tough fights in the Winners Semi and the Final — against Illuminati and HellaLarry. The Grand Finals vs DARKTHEGA0T was more confident, and TheMightyUnjust won 3:0.

In our recaps, we regularly pay attention to character/kameo picks. At this tournament, we could enjoy a good variety of fighters, with the traditionally good presence of Kung Lao as a kameo. There were two interesting mirror fights in the Winners Semi and the Losers Final — Mileena/Kung Lao of DARKTHEGA0T and HellaLarry, with opposite results.

TheMightyUnjust sticks to Kenshi/Sub-Zero after the patch (like at TNS  MK1 #7). It would be even more interesting to see the player’s progress at the next offline event.
