Tekken 8 Wins Best Fighting Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024

The Game Awards handed out their first award of the night rather quickly, after the firs world reveal of the show, a new Ninja Gaiden title by the developers of Blasphemous, they handed out the Best Fighting Game of the Year award to Tekken 8.

Up for the category was Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, MultiVersus, and the winner, Tekken 8. A detail of interest is that this is actually the second time MultiVersus has appeared as Best Fighting Game, having won their first appearance back when the game was in beta.
