Tekken 8 To Get In-Game Shop

Tekken 8 will get a new update soon which will change a number of things about the game including some fixes around some characters' moves along with some bugs which have been resolved. 

However, the biggest announcement is that there will be an in-game shop for Tekken 8. 

Details on what will be available in the shop is currently unknown, but it is expected that players will be able to purchase cosmetic items and maybe even skins which they can use on their characters. 

This is somewhat new as Tekken 7 didn't have an in-game shop and it has raised fears that this could be a means of conducting microtransactions. 

Tekken 8 has in-game currency which can purchase a couple of things, but it has been speculated that the since the ESRB rating of the game has been updated due to in-game purchases, the shop will require real-world money. 

If so, Tekken 8 will simply be following the trend with games which try to get players to pay for things within the game even after purchase the title. 

Tekken 8 has done really well for itself so far, selling over two million units in around three weeks.
