Tekken 8's New Patch Introduces Bug Fixes and Nerfs
Just over a week in and we already have the first patch

Tekken 8 which has only been out for a little over a week already has its first balance patch which was released earlier today.

The patch is mostly for some bug fixes, but right out the gate, some characters are already getting nerfed. The biggest sufferers were Devil Jin, Jun, and Reina. Jun was considered broken as she had follow up attacks for → → 3/3&4 which led her to deal more damage than the developers intended.

Reina was also nerfed as was Dragunov who many have said is a top tier in this game.

You can check out the patch notes here.

This balance patch has led some to wonder why Street Fighter 6 which has been out for about 8 months now hasn't gotten any patches. This is due to Capcom's strategy of only balancing Street Fighter once a year. While the idea has merit as it enables players to figure out the game and find ways to overcome some of the issues they come up against, it has also faced backlash from players who want new content and new ways to play.

Tekken 8 will get its first outing at Evo this year as it has been announced as one of the mainstage games.
