Tekken will make its second appearance at the Saudi-based event
Tekken 8 is likely the last fighting game to be confirmed for Esports World Cup participation at this year's event. Street Fighter 6 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves were confirmed earlier this year. This will also mark the 30th anniversary of the Tekken franchise.
Full qualification criteria have not been released yet, but it will likely follow a similar format as last year, with earning a top 2 or, in some cases, a top 8 finish at a number of major events throughout the year, which will earn a player a spot in the group stages. Ulsan is also likely to earn automatic qualification, as he is the current reigning champion.
