Super Smash Con Rebrands to Supernova

Virginia-based event Super Smash Con announced today that it will rebrand its event to Supernova. Although not outright stated in their release, the name was always likely to change due to its inclusion of Smash in it. Nova is a reference to North Virginia, the region the event has been held in since 2015.

Supernova 2024 then is set to happen from August 8th to the 11th, with registrations open now and early bird entries lasting until the end of May.
