Super Smash Bros Ultimate: Steve Gets Buffed... Again!
The controversial character gets even more nefarious

Steve is easily the most controversial character on the Smash roster and this is because he is as high tier as they come which has led some to consider him a broken character that shouldn't exist.

For this reason, there are some tournaments where Steve is banned and cannot be used. However, recently, some other tournaments have unbanned him and have declared him tournament legal.

Well, they might need to ban him again. This is because a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player, Whydo, has revealed some tech that could have potentially devastating consequences.

On the final day of his 'Steve Buffs' series, Whydo, who has been sharing unique, niche, and useful Steve tech all week, released what may consider his most impressive tech and the easiest to implement.

The tech, which Whydo aptly named M.A.D. (Mine Abrupt Dodge) is simply aa cancel move.

So, for anyone who uses Steve, they will know that Steve is vulnerable when he is mining and if hit with a projectile, he takes damage. However, it is possible to cancel into an air dodge and get away from being hit even while mining. This, according to Whydo is a lot faster than shielding or rolling.

Players  and fans were divided over the post with some calling it tech that could change how the game is played, while others think it is simply overrated.

The full import of this won't be known for a while yet, so we'll have to wait and  see. But, Whydo did post a whole week of Steve buffs which you can check out here
