Street Fighter 6 Overlay Tool Just Got a New Update
Might be a great way to take your load off of your mental stack.

One of the toughest things about playing fighting games is managing your mental stack. Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or one of the best pro players, there is only so much that we can think of at the same time without losing balance, shifting priorities, or outright forgetting some things. Even MenaRD will sometimes pull out his phone to check notes on specific match-ups.

This new tool for Street Fighter 6 called Battle Overlay should be a huge help with this, especially for anyone who is still in the early stages of learning the game. If any of you played Tekken, your mind might immediately go to Tekken Overlay app, but don't worry. While some might call Battle Overlay less useful, it comes with the upside of not putting competitive integrity under question by providing info that the player wouldn't otherwise know.

Instead, MissingNo designed it to serve more like a notes app that you can have on your screen at all times. Trying to remember a new combo? Write it down and have it on a screen so it's easy to remember.

Another obvious use case is to simply write down match-up notes that you need to keep in mind. Reminding yourself to punish certain moves, avoid certain ranges, or maybe do things that specific characters have a hard time dealing with.

The same applies to your own character. Write down what you should be doing and how you want to be playing. Stuff like this is especially important when you're picking up someone new and need to break old habits.

This new version also allows for a dynamic counter that lets you keep track of your flaws or achievements. You could keep track of successful anti-airs, whiff counters, combos, and the such. It's a little thing but it does have a benefit for someone who puts emphasis on practice during their matches.

Apparently MissingNo is also working on a Linux build, so the advanced PC enjoyers should have access to this as well.
