The event will run it back with one of its core FGC brackets

The Esport World Cup, based in Saudi Arabia, is returning after its inaugural 224 season, and with it, a number of titles have already been confirmed. Today, the organization announced Street Fighter 6 would be one such returning game to its venue.

Although rightfully critiqued for its out-of-the-event context and its broadcast mishaps during its qualifiers, EWC will run it back with Street Fighter 6, and presumably Tekken 8, though no confirmation as of yet. The event also did away with the traditional double-elimination bracket of most FGC titles in favor of a double-elimination group stage, often called GSL, with a single-elimination finals bracket, won in 2024 by Xiao Hai over Kawano.
