Street Fighter 61v1-
Street Fighter 6 was one of the main attractions at Summer Jam 2023 which held at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Cherry Hill.
The winner of the event was Mikeand1ke who defeated Emjay in Grand Final, 3-0 to take the set and the tournament. Summer Jam 2023 saw a decent turnout with almost 200 entrants for Street Fighter 6.
That said, the games were first-to-two until the Winners' Final where it moved to a first-to-three format.
Mikeand1ke first defeated 1WaytoGodJesus before moving on to Winners' Final and defeating Emjay 3-2 in a tight set. When Grand Final came around, it was not so tight and he got his win which was much deserved.
Top 8 Players at Summer Jam 2023
This was Mikeand1ke's first ever major tournament win which is impressive, it also stresses the huge opportunity Street Fighter 6 provides as a new game as new stars and talent could become household names in no time. For example, Kakeru is really making a name for himself in the Street Fighter 6 scene. This is not to say Kakeru wasn't a big deal before as he was a regular at Evo and was invited for Red Bull Kumite in 2021 in Las Vegas. But, it is evident that with Street Fighter 6, he has come up in leaps and bounds and looks set to be one of the names that will dominate the game for years to come.
Congratulations to Mikeand1ke!
