Everything you need to know about the format, qualifiers, and prize pool for SF6's debut at the ENC
The Esports Nations Cup (ENC) has just added Street Fighter 6 to its list of featured games to take place this year.
What is ENC?
The ENC is a new tournament, managed by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), which seeks to feature teams from all the major regions of the world in both team-based and solo-player events. There are 16 games currently set to feature in this year’s tournament, with the vision being that it will take place every 2 years.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves was the first fighting game announced to join the ENC, and now, Street Fighter 6 has joined the roster of games.
Tournament Format
This year’s SF6 at ENC will have 24 national teams split into 4 groups of 6 teams each. Every team will have 4 players and each match will require all team members to face a member of the opposition in a 1v1 set. The winning team is the one that has the upper hand in a first-to-4 and there will be a tie breaker set if both teams sit at 2 individual wins each.
4 teams will qualify for each group and will enter into a single elimination bracket until a winner is determined in the grand final.
So far, there is a $880,000 prize pool that will be shared amongst the 24 nations.
How Qualifiers Works
The 24 participants will be divided into 3 groups:
- Invited nations
- Regional Qualifiers
- Wild cards
The event seeks to incorporate all major regions and the current breakdown is thus: 3 teams from North America, 3 from South America, 4 from EU West, 4 from EU East, 3 from the Middle East, India and Central Asia, 1 from North Africa, 1 from South & Central Africa, 2 from South & East Asia, 2 from Southeast Asia, 1 from Oceania.
The invited nations, according to the ENC official website, will be “determined through the Street Fighter 6 National Team Ranking, which aggregates points earned at specific 2025 and 2026 events, with the top three players from each nation contributing to the final standings.”
The identity of these events is unknown.
The regional qualifiers will be solo-player events held between the 30th of June and the 3rd of July 2026, in which successful players will win a slot for their nation and also earn the captaincy for the team. The other 3 members of the team will be made up of the highest ranking player in the Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior program for that region and the two highest ranked players in the ENC national ranking. Meanwhile, for invited nations, the first player on the team will be the highest-ranked in the World Warrior table for that region and the other three will be the highest placers in the ENC team ranking.
The Street Fighter 6 tournament for the ENC will take place during week 3, which runs from November 18th to November 22nd, 2026.
