Shine 2023 will be the Last Iteration of the Tournament Series

The official Shine Series Twitter account revealed that Shine 2023 would be the final iteration of the tournament series. The team made this decision due to financial problems and the growing cost of each subsequent event. Later this month, everyone can support Shine as the organizers plan to open a merch drive within a couple of weeks, and funds raised there will go to the event venue.

Shine has been running since 2016 and has been an important tournament for the Smash scene. Its latest chapter has become another sad episode for the community since the massive cancellation of the Smash World Tour 2023 events and the closure of Beyond the Summit.
