The veteran player had a good run that included a successful debut SFL season and some mileage at Capcom Cup
Argentine veteran and Dhalsim main Shaka022 has been announced as the latest departure from Brazilian esports team 2Game Esports.
The news was shared on social media in a short statement that read: “Today we bid farewell to @shaka_0022.
“He arrived, took part in the SFL and Capcom Cup 12. He showed the strength that a Dhalsim has, went head-to-head with the best in the world, and brought great joy to everyone who followed him.
“Here's our thanks for the professionalism and partnership on this journey. Wishing you every success in your next steps, Shaka.”
Shaka responded with a statement of his own, thanking the organization for their time together:
“Thank you so much to @2GAMEFGC for the opportunity. There are moments that I will always carry with me! Now to embark on another path. Starting today: FREE AGENT!”
Shaka only joined the team back in January 2026 following a successful Street Fighter League USA campaign with 2Game. He competed at Capcom Cup 12 under the organization's banner but exited during the second phase of the group stage.
He performed admirably, recovering from a comprehensive loss to eventual winner Sahara before defeating both South Africa’s JabhiM and South Korea’s NL to advance to the second round. There, he defeated YONANGEL but lost to Kincho, ending his tournament run.
He has not entered many events since then, competing only in recent World Warrior tournaments, where he secured a top-eight finish and a fourth-place finish in the last two editions, respectively.
He is widely considered the best Dhalsim player in South America and, given his track record, would be a valuable addition to any squad.
2Game will return to SFL Americas this year, and while Shaka's departure leaves a vacancy, it could open the door for talented player LUGABO, whose Kimberly has generated excitement around his future prospects.
