SNK have announced that they will be running a final beta test for the rollback features to be added to Samurai Shodown on Steam and have urged players who own the game to take part in the test to ensure success.

This comes after an announcement back in September that their plans to roll out the rollback netcode features had been delayed for the sake of ensuring quality over speed.

In that statement, they had apologized to all those affected by the news and had announced beta tests on Steam which they said will ensure that they did a good job. When the rollback features were first announced for Samurai Shodown back in August, there was a lot of excitement as it is one of the cult classic games that players still enjoy till today, so learning that the onliine capablities were going to get better was a big boost to players and fans.

The new date announced for the final beta test is 12th of October 2023. Once successful, the rollback netcode should follow in due course.
