S1 Pass for Skullgirls Now Out for Switch, Xbox Version Coming Soon
Skullgirls continues to be a sustainable game with a great expansion

Owners of a Nintendo Switch have something to be excited about as Skullgirls 2nd Encore's Season 1 Pass is now available on the platform.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore was released in 2015 as an enhanced version of the Skullgirls Encore game. The Season 1 Pass was released in August 2021 on the Playstation network, while it was released on the PC in April 2022.

It has finally gotten a release on the Nintendo Switch and features four characters of which two have been released (Annie, and Umbrella). The other two characters, Black Dahlia and Marie, will be released in early 2023 and later in 2023, respectively.

Also included in the season one pass are voice packs for all the DLC characters and palette packs for the entire cast.

Skullgirls also announced that the Xbox One and Series X versions of 2nd Encore would be released later in the year, so players on Microsoft's platform will also get to make use of their favorite characters with all the new additives inserted.

Skullgirls has been on an upward trajectory since last year, and the addition of the game on the Evo mainstage went a long way in bringing in fresh blood and reinvigorating the scene. This was quickly followed by the announcement of Black Dahlia. Following these developments, Skullgirls has also pledged to support Frosty Faustings XV with an extra $1000 for the prize pot.

Developer support is always welcome, and Skullgirls' future looks bright with these announcements and the promise of new characters like Marie, who is considered the original Skullgirl, joining the roster later in the year.
