Rumors of an animated Mortal Kombat movie in works

Last year in April we were treated to an animated film set in the Mortal Kombat universe. Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge a direct to video release based on the events of the first game and animated by South Korean studio Mir. Which did particularly well earning $2,634,695 dollars by October.

Now, We got this covered, claims that a source, that had given them accurate information in the past, is now stating that a sequel to the animated film might be in the works. It remains to be seen if these rumors turn into reality. In the meantime, April this year does see the release of the live-action movie.
