Player First Games Says MultiVersus Release Coming Soon in 2024

It has been a long while since MultiVersus took the platform fighting genre by storm, with its open beta starting in March this year. After months of updates and adjustments, however, the team at Player First Games decided to bring the game down from operation to work on it behind closed doors.

Today, that same development team says they will soon share news about the game, including a release date within the coming months.

MultiVersus was not just an ambitious project; it was a critically acclaimed one at that. It won the Best Fighting Game in 2022 at the Game Awards while still in its beta stage. To think that a game can be an award-winning title and also need to return to close-door development has raised worry about its future.
