Phoenix Cyclops Gets Marvel Tokon Trailer Ahead of November Release

Back in July 2026, Phoenix Cyclops was teased as the first DLC character for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and we now have the full trailer for the character.

Phoenix Cyclops is another example of a deep-cut character being introduced to Tokon, something the developers have seemed quite keen to do with some of their cast choices, like Danger and Blade.

In the trailer, Cyclops showcases some of his skills, and what becomes evident is his reliance on his optic blasts. According to the official PlayStation blog for the character, using these optic blasts fills up a special bar with something called Solar Shards. Once full, Cyclops transforms into the Phoenix and is greatly strengthened. His costume changes, and so do his optic blasts, which take on a more fiery look.

From the footage, it looks like the Phoenix state only lasts so long and is supposed to be a risk-versus-reward sort of style.

Within the Marvel universe, Phoenix Cyclops is a result of the Phoenix Force residing in the X-Man, and its corrupting power makes the typically straight-laced Cyclops a lot more belligerent and mean-spirited. This shows in the aggression of his moves and the savagery he uses to fight.

The character will be released on the 2nd of November, but fans will get a chance to try him out at Evo France, which kicks off tomorrow, the 9th of October, and runs until the 11th.

Also, for those who worry about Cyclops’ red outfit, the trailer has revealed that his classic blue and yellow costume will be available. In the blog, the devs also allayed fears about future characters who are variants, e.g. Cyclops vs. Phoenix Cyclops, saying there will always be classic costumes available for fans to use with the character.
