Four games and seven-figure costs.
Nouns Esports, an organisation backed by a blockchain project, is running a transparent model and that includes revealing important financial data. In the proposal for 2024, we can learn the amount of costs needed to run rosters in four games: Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pokémon UNITE. The Melee department is represented by Dawud "Aklo" Rahman.
In total, if this proposal passes, Nouns Esports plan to spend more than two million dollars in 2024: $1,118,000 will go to players' and coaches' salaries, and $471,600 and $419,000 will be paid for support staff and operational expenses, respectively.
Nouns Esports plans to earn money through traditional revenue sources like partnerships, in-game items and merchandise, and experimenting with newer concepts like esports pass.
