NinjaKilla Becomes First Player to Reach Highest Tekken 8 Rank
He did this on the back of a 51-game win streak

American player Jarrad "NinjaKilla" Gooden has become the first Tekken 8 player to break through the God of Destruction VII rank and reach God of Destruction Infinite.

Impressively, he achieved the milestone on the back of a 51-game win streak using Fahkumram. NinjaKilla shared the achievement on X, showcasing his promotion match against a Lili player.

The accomplishment was celebrated by Tekken fans worldwide, reflecting the scale of the achievement.

God of Destruction Infinite was introduced alongside Tekken 8’s widely criticized Season 2 patch. Reaching the rank requires 430,000 points, a daunting milestone for any player. NinjaKilla currently sits at the top of the global leaderboard with 430,080 points.

The discussion surrounding NinjaKilla’s achievement is particularly interesting given the perception that North America's Tekken 8 scene has lagged behind other regions, largely due to its results at top-level events. NinjaKilla has pushed back against that narrative, becoming the only American player to reach the top eight at Evo Las Vegas, the first North American representative to do so in Tekken 8.

He was the first North American player to make the top eight at Evo since Anakin achieved the feat at the 2023 event in Tekken 7.

NinjaKilla will now have an opportunity to further strengthen his reputation at the Esports World Cup later this month, having secured qualification through his strong Evo placement.
