New Teaser Shows Off How Alex Will Look In Street Fighter 6
Alex is bringing more heel energy than ever for his latest appearance.

Alex is finally smashing his way into Street Fighter 6, and Capcom is starting to show him off a little. Their newest video seems like it would be a World Tour introduction of the character, as they have often done in the past.

Keep in mind though, this is not a full trailer, so there is no gameplay here, and we still have roughly two months until the character comes out. With that said, you can check out the teaser by watching the video below.

It seems like Capcom is making a major emphasis on his wrestling persona. Not only that, but it seems like they are taking him in a new direction.

Let's be honest, Alex never really had much of a story, despite technically being a protagonist for Street Fighter III. Because of that, it's hard to make any solid assumptions about what he was or wasn't supposed to be, but I think it's safe to say that most players would peg him for a "good guy," or "face" in wrestling terms.

Technically, you could say that his voice lines, victory quotes, and animations carried a hint of being a heel, but none of it was that overt. Unlike this trailer, where it couldn't be more explicit that people hate Alex. He's a full on heel now and seems to fully embrace it, but perhaps there will be more to it when we get to hear his story in the World Tour.

Unlike with the story, we actually do get to see a lot of his iconic moves. So, even if we don't get any actual gameplay, we can reasonably assume that these attacks will be a part of his kit. The teaser itself opens up with his j.HK dropkick, he then stomps the opponent with Air Stampede. While the enemy is still dazed, he does the b+HP Headbutt. This is followed by a rapidfire of attacks. First his Flash Chop, then Flying Knee (used by his j.LK, UOH, and Air Knee Smash animations), and finally the classic HK attack that has him thrust his leg like a spear.

To finish things off, Alex does his staple Power Bomb, and then another b+HP, which switched from Headbutt to Choke Hold when done on backturned opponents.

Hopefully all his other dope moves are also intact, but this is a solid start. We'll likely see a bit more of him in February, because his release is slated for "early spring," which should indicate a March release.
