Multiversus Announces "Hometown Heroes" Program Rewarding Organizers
An expansion of their tournament and competitive community outreach

Multiversus has made it no secret that the competitive communities around the game are very important for its success in the esports and FGC space. Starting with their Evo 2022 appearance and carrying through their weekly calls to action, asking organizers and players to shout out to their upcoming tournaments, the team at MVS has put their sights into centralizing and expanding the network of Tournaments available to the community through grassroots efforts.

Their latest entry depends on those ties by offering unique rewards in the early stages of a partnership program. At a time when other developers and publishers seem to clash against their competitive communities, Player First Games is taking steps to help theirs.

The program is limited to North America, although according to the announcement, this is a temporary measure to limit the project's scope as it rolls out. Ten communities, five online and five offline, will be selected and made part of a new Multiversus league in the Tournament Platform Start.gg.

Part of the program involves the promotion of said communities as well as "Unique rewards" which remain to be seen.
