Ahead of the character releasing on March 18th, Mortal Kombat decided to show off what T-1000 is all about. It's always interesting when you get a character like this.
If you recall the movie, while T-1000 is absolutely lethal and is not lacking in options, but he's not really a fighter. Much of the time he is either running or walking, albeit very menacingly. The direct confrontations are usually less about combat, and more about finding ways of either running away or impeding the unstoppable machine.
As a result, you can tell that NRS had to basically imagine a whole set of moves that would feel appropriate for T-1000. Most obviously, many of his attacks rely on shifting his arms into blades that you could see in the movie. A decent portion of his moveset also seems to be inspired by other MK characters, like Jade's staff, Shao's hammer, and Kabal's hook swords. Though most interestingly, he can also turn into a liquid blob for a bit of evasive movement and attacks, which is probably one of the more creative applications for his ability.
However, there are still more than enough of the faithful little nods and movie references, something that NRS is known for at this point.
