Mortal Kombat 1: Review Scores After a Week

Mortal Kombat 1 was officially released last week to much hype and fanfare. The pre-release reviews were generally positive, with the score hovering around mid-eighties. But now, a whole seven days after the release, everyone worth their salt has reviewed the game and given their opinion.

The Metacritic score for the most-reviewed PlayStation 5 version is a ‘Generally Favorable’ 84, with the Xbox version having an 86, and the PC being the lowest at 82. The user score, however, is significantly lower, mainly due to the server issues at launch.

The Opencritic MK1 score is slightly more favorable at 85, with 91% of the critics recommending the game.
