If you're following the North American Mortal Kombat competitive scene, you most likely heard of Outworld Television (rebranded to MKTV at some point). It used to be a regular circuit for Mortal Kombat 11 with lots of renowned players competing every week to earn a place in Seasonal Finals brackets. MKTV was organized and hosted by hotrodkrusher, a passionate Mortal Kombat community member and a family man, whos charisma and approach in organizing events and treating players made him and MKTV quite popular back in the day. Plus, MKTV managed to crowdfund some decent prize pools for the Seasonal Finals, which is quite notable for a community event. Unfortunately, at some point hotrodkrusher had to step away from fighting game scene and we heard nothing of MKTV and other planned projects ever since. By the way, back in Mortal Kombat 11 days we had a pleasure to talk with hotrodkrusher about the idea behind MKTV, Mortal Kombat franchise, and lots of other stuff.
Anyway, with the release of Mortal Kombat 1 back in September, hotrodkrusher became a lot more active on Twitter and eventually announced, that MKTV will return at some point in the near future. We're yet to learn the details regarding the upcoming events, their format and overall how the updated MKTV will operate, but we know for sure that Mortal Kombat competitive scene will only benefit from this and we're looking forward to enjoy the show again. Be sure to give hotrodkrusher and Kompete Feed a follow to become the first to learn about the upcoming events.
